Ali Amini, Known as Navan was born in 1997, February 20th, in the capital city Tehran, Iran. His journey began in 2010 when he moved from Iran to Canada, settling in Montreal. Immersed in the city’s vibrant cultural scene, he discovered his love for performance, taking on leading roles in musical theatre at just 12 years old. These formative years on stage laid the foundation for his passion for storytelling and artistry.
In 2012, Navan relocated to Toronto, a city renowned for its diversity and thriving music scene. Here, he continued his theatre journey while embracing a range of musical styles that would later define his sound. The cultural richness of both cities helped Navan blend his Persian heritage with Western influences, crafting a unique identity as an artist.
Influenced by global icons like Enrique Iglesias, The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, and Harry Styles, Navan sought to combine the emotional depth of Persian music with the vibrant energy of modern pop and RnB.
